A local tattooist has been fined after they broke coronavirus rules and worked during lockdown.

Milton Keynes Council visits around 150 businesses per week to ensure they are COVID-compliant.

Those who flout the rules are issued with fines, and this is what happened earlier in the month when a nail bar was secretly operating

It has also been announced that last week a tattooist was found to be continuing their work and "potentially spreading the virus when the business should be closed".

Milton Keynes Council closed the business and issued a fine.

Employees who are working during the pandemic and have concerns about workplace safety are encouraged to contact Milton Keynes Council.

On Thursday (12/2), Cllr Pete Marland, the Council Leader, highlighted how those who are concerned about workplace safety can make an anonymous tip-off.

He said, during the weekly update: "It might be that some workplaces need to put more COVID prevention measures in place for people who can't work from home. These can be measures such as staggering start and finish times, or making sure employees isolate if they have to.

"We contact and offer help to employers so they can get it right, and most do. However, if you have concerns about where you work, you can tell us confidentially at covidconcern@milton-keynes.gov.uk."
