Another nail salon in Milton Keynes found to be operating illegally during lockdown

Another nail bar has been found to be operating illegally and serving customers despite the national lockdown, it has been announced.

Milton Keynes Council visits hundreds of businesses weekly to ensure that they are following the strict rules set out by the Government.

The local authority often releases an insight into those flouting the rules, which previously include a tattooist that was continuing their work.

It was announced this morning (24/2) that a nail salon in Milton Keynes was discovered to be serving customers and ignoring lockdown restrictions.

This is the second nail bar in Milton Keynes to be operating illegally when the industry should be closed, as another nail business was visited by Milton Keynes Council at the start of the month.

The nail salon was forced to close and was issued a £1,000 fine by the council.

Anyone who believes that a business is flouting COVID-19 rules can make an anonymous report by emailing covidconcern@milton-keynes.gov.uk.
