The Galaxians will be bringing their exuberant club energy and powerhouse vocals to MK Gallery on the 15th October 2022.
The Galaxians are keeping the sounds of the much-loved 80's dance era alive within the modern age, bringing fun, funky pop, and danceable music to the ears that get you grooving.
Matt Woodward and Jed Skinner founded The Galaxians in 2012, they released EPs on New York’s Dither Down Records and Atlanta label Rotating Souls and toured across Europe and the UK. A significant development came with the addition of Emma Mason in 2016, whose vocals lit up the band’s 2017 debut LP ‘Let the Rhythm In’ which is described as a 'tour de force of exuberant club energy’ by Clash magazine.
Their self-released second album Chemical Reaction was released in 2020, they stripped back the music and pumped up the vocals. It was later described by Clash magazine as a ‘storming, potent, extremely direct return’.
Following appearances at the UK and European festivals including Amsterdam Dance Event, Bluedot, Dimensions, Beat-Herder, Port Eliot, Long Division, and Tramlines, and support slots for the likes of ESG, Tom Tom Club, Dam Funk, and St Etienne, Galaxians live profile continues to grow.
The event will be supported by DJs throughout the night, this will be an evening of celebratory disco.
