Is your four-legged friend the finest in Milton Keynes?

It’s almost time to raise the woof at this year’s Big Doggie Do! Fetch the lead and get ready for the dog show at MK’s biggest pooch party, at Willen Lake next weekend (18th and 19th May).

The dog show, sponsored by MK Vet Group, runs on both days with the following classes:

    1pm - 2.15pm

Most Handsome Fella (Male dogs 6 months+)

    Best Dressed Dog

    Best Biscuit Catcher

Young Owners Award (Young handlers aged 7-14 years old)

    Rehomed Rovers

    3.15pm - 4.30pm

Most Beautiful Bitch (Female dogs 6 months +)

Golden Oldies (Dogs ages 8 years+)

Youthful Yearlings (Dogs aged 6 months – 1.5 years)

    Waggiest Tail

Judges Jewels (Dog the judges would most like to take home)

Competitors can sign-up at the registration desk, which opens at midday on both days. Entries are £1 per dog per category, cash only. For safety, dogs under 6 months old cannot be entered into classes.

There’ll be plenty more tail-wagging fun in the arena too, with displays from Little Nipppers, Griffin Entertainment and more!

New for this year, a Talks Tent will host tutorials and demonstrations from the likes of Guide Dogs, Pup Club, and Jackador Dog Training.

There’ll be stalls packed with treats for both people and pets, providing everything from accessories shopping and training services to charities and delicious street food.

The Big Doggie Do is organised by The Parks Trust, the charity caring for MK’s parks. Julie Dawes, Events & Community Engagement Manager at the Trust says “the Big Doggie Do is one of our most popular annual events and a true celebration of one of our largest park user groups – dog walkers and owners”
