Black History Month Art, Culture and Business Exhibition to be held in Milton Keynes

    The Black History Month Art, Culture and Business Exhibition will take place for the second time in Middleton Hall, centre:mk , Central Milton Keynes on the 21st and 22nd of October 2023.

    The exhibition which had its debut at Middleton Hall in 2022 was well received, by exhibitors, the management of Middleton Hall and the general public.

    This year’s event has been therefore been elevated from a weekday event to a weekend which also falls during the half-term, expectant of a much larger footfall.

    The Exhibition will feature art, different cultures, organisations and businesses from within Milton Keynes’ black community. It will showcase fashion, cultural artefacts, food, jewellery, paintings, books, services and other products.

    This Exhibition will provide an opportunity for black owned businesses and organisations to be in the limelight, showcasing their amazing work and featuring the services and products they provide.

    The Exhibition is also open to all organisations and business who are looking to engage people, businesses and organisations from within the black community.

    It will run for two days seeks to provide a platform for new partnerships, collaborations and shared growth.

    The Milton Keynes Black Excellence Awards will also take place in the same month on 28th October 2028 at Stadium MK.

    The awards seek to celebrate contribution and reward the excellence within the black community in Milton Keynes. It aims to also open up opportunities for collaboration and growth within the wider Milton Keynes community.

    The event has grown from its small beginnings at the former Atesh restaurant in the City Centre in 2021 to the Holiday Inn last year were it was oversubscribed and the organisers run out of tickets.

    Winners in the past have included The Digital Booth, Milton Keynes Council and Wain McIntosh, Chairman of Friends of the Caribbean.

    An even more glamorous and prestigious event is planned this year and people, businesses and organisations are invited to start nominating which closes on September 15th.
