YMCA Milton Keynes raises £10k with soup recipe book

YMCA's latest recipe book sold over 1000 copies, with customers buying from England and Northern Ireland to France, Germany and even Texas, USA.

The YMCA Milton Keynes launched its recipe book, packed full of seasonal soups, which has raised a grand total of £10k.

The funds will have a profound impact on the young people living at YMCA MK and help the charity to support its residents with safe and secure housing but also by providing the practical, emotional and employment support need to help residents belong, contribute, and thrive.

Each book sold has drawn the charity a step closer to securing a better future for young people in Milton Keynes.

“Thank you to everyone who supported SoupFest 2023, we are thrilled that it has been a soup-er success!," Lorraine Devereux, Fundraising Manager.

"We have loved working with our fantastic contributors and meeting so many of our community who purchased a book, came to see us at various community and Christmas events and kindly shared, or commented, on our social media posts, we could not have reached our fundraising target without you!  Every penny raised helps us to continue to provide a safe place to call home and support local young people to belong, contribute, and thrive.”

The book has been sponsored by Brioche Pasquier and Cranswick.
