Units left damaged following blaze in Milton Keynes

    MKFM understands that a commercial and residential unit has been left completely damaged following a blaze yesterday (10/10).

    At around 4:32 PM on Monday 10th October, emergency services were called to a fire in a unit on Tavistock Street in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

    Nine fire engines and crews rushed to the scene from fire stations across MK and surrounding areas such as Buckingham, Bedfordshire and Aylesbury.

    Officers were also in attendance.

    The Thames Valley Fire Control Service received multiple calls after a huge plume of smoke was spotted from across Milton Keynes.

    The smoke was coming from a fire in a two-storey commercial unit.

    Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue state that one man was cared for after suffering burns to his hands.

    One unit was completely damaged in the fire, with another damaged by smoke.

    A third unit also faced damage 

    One man was cared for by South Central Ambulance Service for burns to his hands

    The fire spread to affect multiple units. One unit was 100 per cent damaged by fire, a second was 100 per cent damaged by smoke. A third was around 30 per cent damaged by fire and 100 per cent damaged by smoke.
