Emergency services on scene of fire inside unit in Milton Keynes

MKFM understands there is currently a huge plume of smoke across Bletchley and emergency services are currently on the scene.

Smoke can be seen across Bletchley and surrounding areas, it is understood that emergency services are currently on the scene of a fire on Tavistock Street, Bletchley.

18:27PM - Thames Valley Police have issued the following statement:

“Officers from ICR team 5 are assisting Fire Brigade in dealing with a report of a fire inside a unit located in TAVISTOCK STREET, BLETCHLEY.

“The street is currently closed until emergency services deals with the incident. Fire Brigade are asking for nearby residents to keep their doors and windows closed to prevent any smoke from getting inside.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

MKFM has contacted Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue and Thames Valley Police for information.
