Shopping centre intu Milton Keynes announces extended opening hours to cope with surge of shoppers

Popular shopping centre intu Milton Keynes has announced that it will be operating with extended opening hours to cope with the surge in shoppers.

Yesterday, shops across Milton Keynes opened their doors to customers for the first time in months.

The two main shopping centres, the centre:mk and intu, were full of happy shoppers looking to visit their favourite stores.

Queues were formed first thing in the morning for Primark in the centre:mk and Apple within intu.

As a result of the influx of shoppers expected within the next few weeks, many stores have announced that they will be operating with extended opening hours.

And intu has said that it will also be providing people with more time to shop at a bid to help reduce crowds and queues.

The centre will be open from 9:30am to 6pm from Monday to Wednesday, 9:30am to 8pm on Thursday and Friday, 9am to 7pm on Saturday, and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.

Opening hours for individual stores may vary, so residents are being advised to check with retailers before travelling.

In other news, Primark has announced that its Milton Keynes stores will be open for two extra hours each day.
