Primark stores in Milton Keynes announce extended opening hours

Primark stores in Milton Keynes will be extending their opening hours to cope with the expected influx of shoppers when non-essential retail reopens on Monday (12/4).

Primark has said that it will be extending its store opening hours across the UK for two hours on average to help reduce queues and allow for social distancing.

The Milton Keynes store in the MK1 shopping park will open from 8am-10pm Monday-Saturday, and the branch in Silbury Arcade will open from 8am-8pm Monday-Friday and 8am-7pm on Saturday.

Due to Sunday trading laws, the stores will be open from 10.30am to 11.00am for browsing only, with customers able to buy goods from 11am-5pm in all stores.

Primark chief executive Paul Marchant said: “Safety remains at the front of our minds.

“We have extended opening hours across almost all of our stores to help meet demand safely but we’re also asking our customers to keep up the support and spirit they showed last year, particularly if queuing outside or in-store.”
