A section 60 has been put in place across parts of Milton Keynes today, following a stabbing in Bradwell Common.

Thames Valley Police have issued the following statement.

“After an incident in Bradwell Common today, we have authorised a Section 60 order.

”A 17-year-old boy was assaulted and stabbed by a group. He is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

    “We have made three arrests.”

One of the arrests was made at Primark.

Members of the public may have seen armed officers in and around the store while this arrest was made.

“The store is now open as normal. Thank you to everyone for their support and cooperation while we were at the store,” police say.

The Section 60 order applies to the areas shown in the map and gives police officers greater powers to stop and search in a defined location.

The order began at 12.55pm and will be in place for 24 hours. If necessary, the order can then be extended.
