Milton Keynes was hit by heavy rainfall this weekend, with residents reporting that certain areas of the city have been left flooded today.

Various underpasses in the area have become "unpassable" due to the excess water, and the banks of local brooks and rivers have broken in some places.

Firefighters have also warned people that there will be floodwater on roads throughout Milton Keynes today following the news that one car was stuck on a road in Great Brickhill.

And speaking of things getting stuck, one person spotted a Starship delivery robot caught at a standstill in floodwater over the weekend.

Frankie posted an image on Facebook of the struggling robot in Newport Pagnell and questioned how to save it.

Dozens of residents came to the virtual rescue and eventually, Starship Technologies retrieved the bot.

Milton Keynes Council was also called out to properties in the area after residents shared concern of a "red flood warning" for houses in Willen and Middleton. The Highways Team placed sandbags at properties where they were needed and reminded residents to be cautious if out driving.
