One flood warning remains in force in Milton Keynes today

One flood warning remains in force in Milton Keynes today as river levels remain high at the Bletchley river gauge.

Officials say levels are now falling, but the risk of flooding today remains.

The Environment Agency expect flooding to affect Millholm Rise and Simpson Road in Simpson, Walton Hall, Mill Lane in Woolstone, Woodall Close, Powell Haven, Bereville Court and Savage Croft in Middleton and Milton Road in Willen.

No further rainfall is forecast for the next 24 hours and river levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk.

An Environment Agency spokesperson said: "We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water."
