It has been announced that there will be a trail of rainbows through Central Milton Keynes in support of the Milton Keynes Pride Festival.
The much-anticipated event, which will draw in crowds of around 10,000 people, will be taking place in Campbell Park on Saturday 11th September.
And the Business Improvement District (BID) will be supporting the festival by lining the centre with rainbows.
The flags will be along Midsummer Boulevard, from Milton Keynes Central Train Station, through the centre:mk and over the bridge to Campbell Park, with a colour-popping flower rainbow display ready to greet festival-goers at the entrance to MK Pride.
This not-for-profit community event will once again welcome smiles, glitter, fur babies, families and friends for an enjoyable day that embraces the wonderful and diverse LGBTQ+ community.
Melanie Beck MBE, Chief Executive of MyMiltonKeynes, said: “We’re proud to support this amazing community event and hope that our rainbow trail along the main boulevard and through the shopping centre will bring a smile to many faces and encourage people to support the festival and the LGBTQ+ community.
“The last festival was hugely popular and with a fantastic lineup of acts this year too, we’re really looking forward to seeing what bigger and brighter things are to come at Milton Keynes Pride Festival 2021!”
The full line-up for the Milton Keynes Pride Festival in Campbell Park was unveiled this week, with Lucy Spraggan and popular drag queen Baga Chipz among those performing.
Volunteers are also needed on the day and you can find out more here.
