MKFM Tour de Vale postponed until September 2021

In light of the current lockdown and future uncertainty, the MKFM Tour de Vale Charity Bike Ride has been postponed until September 2021.

Wheelpower, the national charity for wheelchair sport, has been organising the Tour De Vale - which is usually its biggest fundraising event of the year.

They believe that moving the bike ride to 19th September 2021 is the "correct decision" in order to protect the health and wellbeing of the participants, supporters and volunteers, as well as the WheelPower and Stadium teams.

Jo Hall, Ride Director, said: "We are very much looking forward to the 2021 Tour de Vale alongside our new title sponsor MKFM and hope that this decision will reassure you of our commitment to this year’s event.

"The Tour de Vale is our biggest fundraising event of the year and we are very hopeful that in September we will be able to put on a fantastic celebration of cycling as we welcome you back to Stoke Mandeville Stadium.

"In the coming months we will be working hard to make sure that all plans are put in place so that our riders are able to enjoy this day in a safe and happy environment.”

A spokesperson for Tour De Vale added: "We hope that you can join us on Sunday 19th September for an all ability bike ride around the beautiful Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire countryside.

"For all the latest information on this year’s event please continue to check our social media channels and website www.tourdevale.com."

Please note: Entries for this new date will open shortly.
