Mini market and food festival to be held at Milton Keynes hotel to celebrate its reopening

There will be a mini-market and food festival at Chicheley Hall Hotel to celebrate the hotel reopening under new management.

Chicheley Hall announced its permanent closure due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in June last year.

It was later announced, in March 2021, that the Grade I listed 18th-century mansion and its grounds had been bought by a Hong Kong-based property company and would be reopening under new management

The management company, Countrywide Hotels, has shared its plans for the hotel in a bid to make it one of the best hotels and wedding venues in the county.

Countrywide Hotels has also announced that to celebrate the reopening of the hotel, the Chicheley Hall Mini Market and Food Festival will be held on Sunday 23rd May from 10am to 4pm.

The free event will include cooking and cocktail demonstrations, a mini market of local produce and stalls from some of the county’s best suppliers.

Pete Farrow, Operations Director of Countrywide Hotels, said: “We’re all looking forward to being able to open our doors to the local community and celebrate all that this wonderful venue has to offer.

“As well as the food and drink stalls we’ll be offering tours of our stunning bedrooms, afternoon teas and a preview of our wedding setup – all in line with COVID-secure guidelines. Everyone is invited to just wander around the gardens and there is plenty free parking.

“It’s a taste of the perfect British Sunday that we’ve all missed so much.”
