Milton Keynes Pride Festival releases statement ahead of tomorrow's event

    Organisers behind Milton Keynes Pride Festival (MKPF) have released a statement ahead of tomorrow's (9/9) event at Campbell Park.

    Organisers behind Milton keynes Pride Festival have released the following statement across their platforms, following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.

    "All of us at MKPF are heartbroken on the passing of HM The Queen Elizabeth II.

    "We have spoken with our sponsors and MKPF will be going forward tomorrow in a respectful and commemorative way. We welcome our attendees to lay floral tributes at the Milton Keynes Rose prior to the festival opening. 

    "The MKPF team will lay a floral tribute for HM The Queen and will be having one minute silence at the opening of the festival. We ask all attendees to be respectful and adhere to the one minute silence before the opening at 12pm. 

    "We welcome everyone to attend and celebrate the memories of HM The Queen, her remarkable life and incredible service to this country. As we come together as a community to celebrate diversity, inclusion, identity and togetherness in a safe environment."
