Milton Keynes man died of stab wound to neck as custody extension for murder suspect granted

    Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit is providing an update in connection with a murder investigation in Milton Keynes.

    The force was called by South Central Ambulance Service at 6.47pm on Thursday (25/1) to report that a man had been found stabbed.

    A post mortem was carried out on the victim, a 48-year-old man, yesterday (28/1) and the cause of death was recorded as a stab wound to the neck.

    A custody extension has been granted for a 24-year-old man from Milton Keynes, who was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.

    Meanwhile, a 57-year-old woman from Milton Keynes, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on police bail until 25 April.

    We previously stated that the victim was stabbed in Brooklands Square, however this was incorrect, he was stabbed inside a property in Fen Street, where he was also treated by paramedics.
