Milton Keynes is set for a mini heatwave with temperatures reaching over 30°c

Although the hot weather isn't expected to last long, we are set to match the temperature in Barbados on Friday!

    Thursday

Tomorrow, the mini heatwave will begin with highs of 27°c.

    Friday

So far this month, the highest maximum temperature recorded was 28.5°c on Friday 17th at Heathrow Airport. This is set to be beaten on Friday, with there being highs of 31°c in Milton Keynes, according to BBC Weather.

It is recommended that you wear sunscreen, keep hydrated, and make sure you take care around open water.

Last month, Bucks Fire issued a warning to residents advising them not to swim in lakes or other open water "whatever the weather" due to various hidden dangers.

"Please don't be tempted to take a dip in rivers, lakes or canals, whatever the weather," a statement on Bucks Fire's website says. "Even good swimmers can be caught out by hidden dangers such as fast currents, deep holes, soft mud, weeds or rubbish. Any stretch of water, still or flowing, has the capability to kill."
