Milton Keynes home care company supports community with launch of ‘Key to Care’ sessions

Local home care company, Home Instead Milton Keynes, is helping to bridge the knowledge gap between care and the community with the launch of its ‘Key to Care’ sessions.

The aim of the sessions is to provide support and advice on a range of care related topics, from Parkinson’s to Dementia or simply how to access support available to older members of the community.

The first Key to Care at Buckingham Library on Tuesday the 10th of October from 10am – 3pm. The company is excited to welcome to the event:

    • Claire Page, Wills, LPA’s and more (Gilroy Street Solicitors)
    • Kerry Bester, Support Worker (Carers Bucks)
    • Sue Webb (Admiral Nurse)
    • Gill Wills (Parkinson’s UK)

With external businesses attending, there will be a wealth of knowledge and experience, providing the opportunity for people to get answers and feel informed when it comes to taking the next steps.

Home Instead Milton Keynes offers care to older people in their own homes, allowing individuals to lead fulfilled lives in safe and familiar surroundings where they feel most comfortable. The company knows however that finding care for a loved one can be difficult, and it can be hard for to know where to turn as the information required is usually scattered around various organisations and support services.

The Key to Care session will offer much-needed advice in one place. Members of the local community have different questions and needs around the world of care. They might be seeking specific information about conditions such as Dementia, or simply want to know about how to access care services.

Commenting on the sessions, owner of Home Instead Milton Keynes Susan Prosky said, “At Home Instead we know that families often reach a ‘stuck moment’ and become desperate for a ‘one-stop shop’ that brings together crucial information on care options for their loved one when they truly need it.

“Our aim is to give back to the community by offering these insightful sessions, extending a helping hand to families who may benefit from a network of support and understanding.”
