Milton Keynes Gallery marks Autism Acceptance Month with 'A is for Artists' Project Space Exhibition

As part of Autism Acceptance Month, Milton Keynes Gallery's 'A is for Artists' Project Space exhibition will showcase a diverse range of work by talented artists from across the city to embrace the brilliance of difference.

MK Gallery’s new ‘A is for Artists’ exhibition celebrates Autism Acceptance month.

MK Gallery was founded in Central Milton Keynes in 1999 as part of a major theatre and gallery complex. While the theatre has become one of the most successful outside London, the gallery is renowned for its exhibitions of international art and design.

‘A is for Artists’ Project Space exhibition will display work by local artists from across the city, including intricate crafted models, beautiful handmade tapestries, colourful personalised totem poles and a family of meerkats.

The exhibition has been developed in partnership Camphill MK Communities, MacIntyre, MK SNAP, Phoenix Rising and Talent Unlimited who work with, support and advocate for adults with learning disabilities, autism and neurodiversity across Milton Keynes.

The exhibition has grown out of the relationships and network built through MK Gallery’s multiaward-winning Inclusive Practice in the Arts programme.

‘A is for Artists’ is open Tuesday to Sunday 10am – 5pm until Sunday 30 April.

Entry to the exhibition is free.
