Milton Keynes fire service issues safety advice ahead of hot weekend

    Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue has issued advice for residents on how to stay safe in the hot weather this weekend.

    Temperatures are set to reach 30 degrees this weekend and Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue are reminding residents how to keep themselves wildfire wise.

    Bucks Fire and Rescue say:

    • Only BBQ in designated areas on level surfaces.
    • Avoid having bonfires.
    • Don't leave campfires & BBQs unattended, extinguish once you have finished using them.
    • Dispose of glass bottles properly, they can magnify sunlight, starting fires.
    • Extinguish cigarettes properly.

    If you do see an outdoor fire, call 999 and ask for the fire service.
