Two brothers, Olume and Isi Ivowi, died just nine days apart from each other after testing positive for coronavirus.
Olume, who lived in Luton, died on Good Friday, and his brother Isi, who lived in sheltered accommodation in Milton Keynes, died on the of 19th April.
Their older brother, Osi Ivowi, also from Milton Keynes, battled the infection but survived. He is devastated by the death of his two brothers.
Following the tragic deaths, the family is now urging the public to stay at home and follow the Government's rules.
Their older sister, Ida Ivowi, said: "The family would like to urge the public to adhere to all government guidelines to stay home and stay safe to avoid further spread of this virus and would also like to thank all the medical personnel in the front lines for their dedication, especially the doctors and nurses at Milton Keynes General."
The three brothers were incredibly close, and the family says that it is possible they had caught the virus from each other.
Ida continued: “We are a very close family and as you can imagine this has hit us all incredibly hard but we are determined to celebrate the lives of our brothers and focus on moving forward together as a family.
“It was my birthday this week and we all met up online to remember our lost ones and support Olume's widow but we also think it’s important to celebrate life in the now.
"What has happened to us, demonstrates how fragile life is and how we have to remember to appreciate each other and find the joy every day because we never know what is around the corner."
The family is currently in the process of arranging a joint funeral for Olume and Isi, and a close family friend has since set up a GoFundMe page to cover some of the funeral costs. Ayo Ilawole, who set up the page, said: "I am so saddened by what Covid-19 has done to this family.
"They don’t deserve this. They are such a good family. Very close, loving and humble.”
There are currently two GoFundMe pages raising funds to support the family with the costs, and over £11,000 has been collectively raised so far.
