Milton Keynes charity to host Fire Festival this September

People will get the chance to take on the Firewalk in aid of MK Snap.

Residents in Milton Keynes can take on a new challenge this September and sign up to step out onto the burning hot coals at the MK SNAP Dragon’s Firewalk.

The Dragon's Firewalk is part of the MK SNAP Fire Festival 2023, which takes place on the evening of Friday 15th September at the MK SNAP Charity Centre in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes.

The event is a fun-filled, fire-themed, family evening, which is hoping to bring together everybody for what is set to be the fundraising event of the year.

Registration is now open, with limited spaces available, you can sign up here

All funds raised go to MK SNAP, which transforms the lives of adults with learning disabilities in Milton Keynes & surrounding areas.

MK SNAP provides a programme of education, life skills, work preparation and opportunities for work to adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities.

Cliff Mann, from Time4Change Firewalking, who are leading The Dragon's Firewalk, states "this unique experience offers an opportunity to test your limits and overcome your fears by literally walking across a bed of hot coals. By taking part in firewalking, you'll gain a sense of empowerment and a newfound confidence in your abilities. Not only will you conquer your fear of the unknown, but you'll also walk away with a greater understanding of what you're truly capable of."

Angela Novell, CEO of MK SNAP, the charity that is hosting the Fire Festival and The Dragon's Firewalk , stated 'we are so looking forward to welcoming brave and daring individuals who are literally willing to walk on fire for us at MK SNAP! I am all signed up to take part, along with lots of amazing community and business leaders, as well as small teams from local organisations. Please join me in ‘walking on fire’ for our community."
