Milton Keynes based National Film & Sci-fi Museum to open its doors next week

The National Film & Sci-Fi Museum is set to open it’s bay doors and allow fans to view the unique collections for the first ever time.

After almost a year of construction, the Museum is finally ready to welcome ticket holders from Friday 27th August.

The Museum is dedicated to saving props, costumes, art, photos, and footage from some of the biggest film and TV productions and making them available for everyone to see and enjoy.

The Museum has bought together this totally unique collection of artefacts from some of the most well known film & TV franchises, as well as some classics, fan favourites and even specialist Sci-Fi movies. There is a wide range of exhibits, something for every fan of every generation.

Displays from Star Wars to Indiana Jones, James Bond to Ghostbusters, Harry Potter to Marvel, and over 100 films and shows we all love and have been brought up with, will be on view in the museum. So if you want to see Darth Vader’s screen used mask, James Bond’s Walther PPK gun, Indiana Jones’ whip, or Cyberman helmets from Doctor Who, they will all be on view here!

Visitors can pre-book tickets online, or purchase them on the door – although booking is strongly recommended to avoid queues or delays. The Museum is open 10am until 5pm Tuesday to Sunday during school holidays, and Friday to Sunday during term time.

Alongside their extensive collections, the museum will also host presentations, talks, guest appearances and signings, as well as dedicated themed events, special educational activities, and corporate experiences.

Details of these events will be announced on their website and social media pages.

The Museum is also home to the Pixel Bunker retro arcade where visitors can play a huge selection of original classic arcade machines. Tickets for this can also be booked online - with sessions regularly reaching full capacity, booking is essential for this.
