Max Verstappen has said that he is focused on driving after a period of turbulence for Red Bull Racing.

Plenty of media attention has been on the Milton Keynes-based constructors due to the internal investigation revolving around current CEO and Team Principal Christian Horner, which recently dismissed claims of inappropriate behaviour against him.

Despite the investigation, reports of leaked messages and photos from an unknown online drive have kept the focus almost exclusively off the track, overshadowing the team's perfect one-two start to the 2024 season in Bahrain.

Comments from Jos Verstappen, father of the reigning World Champion, have also added fuel to the fire, leading to speculation that Verstappen Jr could even leave the team should things continue, with rumours suggesting a shock move to rivals Mercedes-AMG even mentioned by some media outlets.

However, the 26-year-old remains focused on the task at hand and has avoided directly commenting on the situation during Media Day ahead of this weekend's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

When asked about the ongoing situation, Verstappen told Sky Sports: "From my side, I'm just focusing on the driving bit and I think that is also the most important for the team right now."

"That's also why we came here and that's our main target and also what we want to focus on, you know to not have this stuff going on race after race, because that's not good for the team."

When asked if there was any way he could picture himself leaving Red Bull after this season, he said: "Things must go really crazy, I guess. That's not the target for everyone."
