Man 'safe and well' following A5 road closures in Milton Keynes

    Thames Valley Police have confirmed a man is 'safe and well' after the A5 was closed in Milton Keynes earlier.

    The force tweeted that the road had re-opened at around 8.25pm this evening, after it was closed in both directions during the evening rush hour.

    Unconfirmed reports from social media indicated that Police were trying to help a man who was on a bridge over the carriageway.

    Officers tweeted that the A5 Southbound was closed at 5.50pm between Central Milton Keynes and Bletchley.

    The A5 Northbound was then closed shortly after between Caldecotte and Central Milton Keynes.
