A wanted male has been arrested and recalled to prison after being spotted in Milton Keynes shopping centre.
CCTV control room at Midsummer Place spotted the wanted male at around 9am yesterday morning (10 January).
The male was detained and arrested for recall to prison, suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of Class A cocaine.
In a post on social media, police have thanked members of the public and security who assisted with the incident.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson wrote on Facebook saying: "CCTV control room spotted a wanted male, officers attended and after a very poor attempt to run away the male was detained and arrested for recall to prison, suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of Class A cocaine.
"Thank you to the members of the public and security who assisted with this while we dealt with it."
Investigation are ongoing and once completed, the male is set to be handed over to the prison service.
