Last chance to apply for grants to help celebrate King's Coronation in Milton Keynes

    Grants are available to help residents, community groups and organisations celebrate the King's Coronation this May.

    The Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May, 2023, with a service conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. 

    Up and down the UK, communities and organisations will be taking part in celebrations over the extra bank holiday weekend.

    People in Milton Keynes planning to celebrate His Majesty King Charles have until midnight on Monday 10th April to apply for funding from Milton Keynes City Council to help support local events and projects.

    The City Council has set aside funds to support events and projects celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III.

    Up to £20,000 in grants have been made available to Parish, Town and Community Councils and a further £20,000 has been set aside for residents, community groups and organisations to apply for small grants (up to £500) and medium grants (£500 - £5,000)

    On Monday 8 May 2023, members of the public are being invited to take part in The Big Help Out, which will encourage people to try volunteering for themselves and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas.
