Just 9 new coronavirus cases reported in Milton Keynes today as 7-day case rate falls again

    Just nine new coronavirus cases were reported in Milton Keynes on Easter Saturday.

    The COVID-19 data brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 19,867 - of which 108 were in the past seven days.

    The 7-day case rate, or infection rate, in Milton Keynes has fallen slightly from 49.4 per 100,000 people yesterday to 48.6 cases per 100,000 people today.

    This is below the national average, which stands at 50.2 cases per 100,000 people.

    Nationally, there were an additional 3,423 people tested positive today with 10 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.

    None of these deaths took place in Milton Keynes, meaning the city's total COVID-linked death toll stands at 461 since the start of the pandemic. 

    It has been fifteen days since a virus-linked death occurred in Milton Keynes. 

    The positive update comes as it has been revealed that over 93% of over 50s in Milton Keynes have had their COVID-19 vaccine.
