Houses put up for sale by Milton Keynes City Council are 'uninhabitable'

The City Council will be placing four properties for sale by auction due to them not being 'financially viable', with the money then being reinvested into more suitable council properties.

Four properties in Milton Keynes will be on sale by auction on Thursday 2 November.

A detached house in Olney, End of Terrace in Sherrington, a semi-detached house in Olney and a bungalow in Bletchley have been placed for sale, according to the City Council website.

Milton Keynes City Council says the properties are sold on the open market due to being 'uninhabitable' and 'not financially viable' for the city council to carry out the major works required.

The money is then reinvested into more suitable council homes.

"If you are looking for residential properties for sale, you are advised to contact local Estate Agents as it is highly unlikely that the Council will sell 'ready to move in' residential properties through this process," a spokesperson said.
