People have been issued a reminder that colder, darker nights are upon us as Halloween decorations are being spotted in shops across the city.

It is well-known that shops are often one season ahead as they promote their jumpers during the summer and bikinis during the winter!

And towards the start of the summer holidays, shops start to display spooky decorations in preparation for Halloween on October 31st.

Despite the holiday being 81 days away, listeners have noticed that Home Sense at the Kingston Centre has put up its Halloween display.

The Range is also in the process of installing its Halloween decor in each store.

This time last year Poundstretcher was found to be selling Christmas merchandise and The Woburn Emporium put up a full festive display.
