Some may say that it is far too early to be even speaking about the big C-word as we are just under 4 months away from the big day.

Well, when is the right time to start preparing for Christmas? New research shows that more than a quarter of UK shoppers are going to start shopping earlier this year.

And it seems shops have picked up on this, with Poundstretcher in Westcroft kicking off the festivities at the start of the month by selling a festive bag. Then, local supermarkets joined in by launching their much-loved Christmas chocolate range - £4 for a large tub of Celebrations, Roses, Heroes or Quality Street!

And now, a local garden centre has put up their entire Christmas display. The Woburn Emporium in Woburn Sands feels like a mini-North Pole complete with reindeer, Christmas tree galore and a festive train.

There's no doubt that festivities bring joy, especially in these uncertain times, but we're holding out for just a little bit more sunshine before the cold nights roll in!
