Dunelm, DFS and Furniture Village in Milton Keynes re-open their doors

Dunelm, DFS and Furniture Village have all announced they have now re-opened in Milton Keynes.

DFS have opened the Milton Keynes store as one of three trial locations across the UK.

Nick Smith, managing director of DFS, said: “Since temporarily closing the majority of our operations almost eight weeks ago, we have assessed and adapted our processes across our manufacturing, retail and delivery operations to ensure we can prioritise colleague and customer safety.”

“While the relatively larger size of DFS’ stores means we can effectively maintain strict social distancing, by implementing additional safety measures in line with Government and British Retail Consortium guidance, we are well prepared to welcome colleagues and customers back into our Milton Keynes store.”

Furniture Village have said they will be implementing temperature checks for all customers arriving at the store.

And Dunelm say: “For those of you who feel more comfortable staying in your own space, we’ve introduced contact free ways to shop, and with options that include deliveries to your car to virtual appointments with a personal shopper, we hope there’s something for everyone.”

The news comes as IKEA in Milton Keynes announced they will be re-opening on Monday 1st June.
