Drive-in firework spectacular to take place near Milton Keynes next month

It has been announced that a drive-in fireworks spectacular will be taking place just outside Milton Keynes next month.

This follows the news that multiple Bonfire night events, including Milton Keynes' biggest firework display and funfair at Campbell Park, will not be going ahead this year.

Instead, Santa Pod Raceway will be setting off a pyro-musical display for residents to watch from their cars.

The display will take place at the race track, near Wellingborough, on Thursday 5th November.

Organisers say it will be a COVID secure experience. Up to six people will be able to sit in their vehicle or just outside it so long as they are in their designated marked parking bay.

"In contrast to the traditional event we run," says Santa Pod, "we have worked to design an all aerial display with a wide frontage across the spectator banking meaning that everyone who comes will get a great view. The display will be computer fired and fully choregraphed to a bespoke soundtrack exclusive to Santa Pod."

Unlike Santa Pod's previous Fireworks Frenzy events, this is solely a fireworks display and will not include a bonfire or stunt show.

Tickets will set people back £45 per car and they must be booked in advance. Find out more here.
