Comedy at IF: Milton Keynes International Festival

Abandoman and Suzi Ruffell among the comedy names at this year’s IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2023

Comedy is a firm favourite at IF: Milton Keynes International Festival, Milton Keynes’ much-loved summer festival running from 21 to 30 July. This year, Abandoman, Suzi Ruffell, La Voix and Comedy Club 4 Kids are the names providing the laughs in the fabulous setting of the The Stables Spiegeltent in the green surroundings of Campbell Park.   Future Music from Abandoman - Rob Broderick, Ireland’s finest improvising musical comedian – is first up on Friday 21 July. Using his trademark blend of audience interaction and razor-sharp improvisation, Rob takes his audience on a magical journey, transforming their likes, loathes and daydreams into hit songs and captivating tales. Using a sample-pad necklace to trigger the high-production beats and hooks he freestyles over, Rob creates the kind of exhilarating live experience that has won him a string of awards, packed houses and international critical acclaim.  On Tuesday 25 July, multi-award-winning comedian Suzi Ruffell presents her latest show, Snappy, all about settling down (but not settling), becoming a mother (without becoming mumsy) and still worrying about everything (have you seen the news?). Suzi has appeared on numerous shows such as Live At The ApolloThe Jonathan Ross ShowQI, The Last Leg, and Womanhood and is known for her hugely popular podcasts Like Minded Friends and Out. Family-friendly comedy comes to the tent on Saturday 29 July with Comedy Club 4 KidsSince 2005, they’ve been getting the best stand-ups and sketch acts from the international circuit to do their thing for children aged 6+ and their families. This year’s line-up is cabaret star Ada Campe, Bec Hill from CITV's Makeaway Takeaway and Tiernan Douieb as MC.  Finally, La Voix, aka Britain’s Funniest Redhead, is swinging into town on Saturday 29 July with her most ambitious show yet. Expect side-splitting comedy, huge vocals, mesmerising impressions of the world’s biggest divas, and buckets full of energy from the semi-finalist of Britain's Got Talent and star of Ab Fab The Movie.
