Co-op stores in Milton Keynes recall ginger and dark chocolate cookies as they may contain plastic

Co-op is recalling certain packs of their ginger and dark chocolate cookies because they may contain pieces of plastic.

Anyone who has recently bought the own-brand cookies from the Co-op's irresistible range should check to see if their packs have been affected.

The cookies bought from local stores with the best before dates of 2 June 2021 and 3 June 2021 are being recalled.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) says the presence of plastic in these 200g packs makes them "unsafe to eat".

Customers who have bought these affected cookies should return them to the closest Co-op store for a full refund.

Alternatively, those who are shielding should contact the customer care line on 0800 0686727 or email customer.careline@coop.co.uk.
