Brand new sixth form to open in Milton Keynes expansion area

A new sixth form has been approved for Milton Keynes, opening in September 2025.

A brand new Sixth Form has been approved by The Department of Education for Watling Academy.

Watling Academy is a member of the Denbigh Alliance Trust, which also runs Denbigh School. The secondary school opened at the Whitehouse Park area of Milton Keynes in 2021 and offers science labs, DT facilities, social space, creative arts space and both indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

With the green light from the Department for Education, Watling Academy, with the steadfast support of The Denbigh Alliance, is now gearing up for the next phase of this transformative project.

The immediate provision will be provided within the current school building, however future steps involve collaborative efforts in fundraising initiatives and seeking additional sponsorship or donations from organisations eager to contribute to the success of the new Sixth Form with an additional building phase.

"We recognise the pivotal role that community support plays in such initiatives. The continued collaboration of local businesses, community leaders, and philanthropic organisations will be essential in backing this endeavor.

"Together, let’s build on this outstanding achievement and foster an even brighter future for students in Milton Keynes. For more information on how to contribute or become involved, interested parties are encouraged to contact the CEO at collingss@thedenbighalliance.org.uk," a spokesperson for Watling Academy said.

The school was recently awarded Outstanding following its first OFSTED inspection.
