Atesh working 'very closely' with police following launch of murder investigation in Milton Keynes

    Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit has launched a murder investigation after a 28-year-old man was sadly killed in the early hours of yesterday (27/12).

    Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit has launched a murder investigation following an incident that took place at Atesh restaurant and bar in the early hours of yesterday (27/12).

    Two men in their twenties were brought to hospital with serious injuries at around 1.30am.

    The men were given emergency care.

    Sadly today (28/12), a 28-year-old man from Milton Keynes died from his injuries.

    A spokesperson for Atesh has given MKFM the following statement: "We apologise to all our customers that we have had to close our restaurant temporarily as police continue their investigation on an altercation that happened on 27/12.

    "This was not during an Atesh event but an outside promoters event.

    "As we understand an argument between individuals started within the venue but were swiftly escorted outside our venue by our security with no issues.

    "Later on outside our venue between the smoking area & car park the altercation occurred.

    "We took all the measures to stop incidents such as these to happen within our venue unfortunately we can not control what happens outside our venue.

    "We are working very closely with the police in helping them conclude their investigation as swiftly as possible, all our CCTV is currently with the police & we hope this will help them.

    Police have said: "We are aware that this altercation started within the venue and continued outside to the smoking area.  As such, it is likely that a number of people saw the incident and may have information that could assist us in our enquiries.
