Aero Tec Pirates claim victory at the Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival

The team from Aero Tec Pirates claimed victory on Sunday at the annual Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival, organised by Gable Events in support of Age UK Milton Keynes.

They narrowly beat the 2nd and 3rd placed teams from Braai Shack Warriors and Brinklow Barbarians in the annual race across Willen Lake.

Meanwhile, The Pirates of L&R (Santander) managed to raise the most money, with the team bringing in £7,500 to support the work of Age UK Milton Keynes.

Carol Lester, Director at Gable Events said "The event was a big success, everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the day and Age UK Milton Keynes were delighted with the £20,000 raised [in total]."

"Thank you very much for the support and coverage you gave the Festival this year, we attracted 8 more teams than last year and I am sure that the publicity MKFM gave to the event helped. I hope that you and your team enjoyed the day too."
