A421 near Milton Keynes closed due to flooding

A busy commuter road between Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire is closed today (5 January) due to flooding.

Most of the UK has today woken up to widespread flooding following heavy rain in the last few days.

The A421 is closed eastbound from the M1 to Marston Moretaine, with significant delays around Junction 13 of the M1, near Milton Keynes, where the closure is in place.

Sheep Lane in Woburn at the Flying Fox roundabout remains passable at the moment but police are encouraging people to avoid the area.

Little Linford Lane and River Side in Newport Pagnell remain closed due to high water levels.
