    About Viccars

    My hometown is MK.

The best thing about Milton Keynes is where it’s located, very close to London which is good for gigs. It’s also surrounded by countryside and once you’re in MK it seems to be a place of the future and has the potential to be a real green city, with its grid system and “forest city” ideals.

My first jobs was a plumber’s apprentice.

When I’m not on the radio: Music is a huge passion of mine, listening and discovering new music which I can then introduce to listeners of my show is what I love. I also DJ at various club nights and after parties in Milton Keynes and sometimes write about music for various publications.

When I’m not focusing on music I do enjoy reading and learning about philosophy and psychology.

My favourite artists: Arctic Monkeys, Eagles of Death Metal, The Prodigy, Queens of the Stone Age, The White Stripes.

If I won the MK Secret Sound I would… I’d probably buy improvements for my decks and guitar, maybe a new guitar; one can never have too many guitars.

    Favourite Food: Oriental Cuisine.

My tipple is Whiskey, with ice.

    I dislike…Marmite.

Apart from my show, my favourite shows on MKFM are The Mayo & Viccars Show, The Scene with Vicky McCarthy and The Modern City with Nicholas Hunt.
