Popularity of Milton Keynes-based sports bar soars as they reopen after lockdown

The MK Sports Bar and Lounge, based in Newport Pagnell, reopened last month and has been faced with an outstanding response from locals ever since.

Just before they opened, they sat with 800 registered customers but this has now tripled and sits at a whopping 3,000.

The family-friendly sporting club is popular due to its variation - there are 12 pool tables (2 are closed due to restrictions), 6 dartboards, 4 poker tables and a new Chinese pool table, which is the fastest cue sport in the world.

In addition to being open for casual games, they also host different leagues and competitions.

The Tuesday team's pool league will soon be restarting, which is open to all pubs with a pool table in Milton Keynes, or your team can play from MK Sports Bar and Lounge.

The Wednesday night pool singles league restarts soon too, and weekly Friday night pool competitions are at 7:30pm.

The MK Sports Bar and Lounge has worked closely with the licensing department and environmental health officers throughout the pandemic which involved regular spot visits.

These visits resulted in praise due to the company's "serious" approach to COVID-19, with temperature readings on arrival, socially distanced pool and seating tables with table service which are always sanitized after each booking.

MK Sports Bar also works closely with Willen Hospice to help raise money throughout the year to give back to the local community.
