MKFM Review: The Play That Goes Wrong at Milton Keynes Theatre

Mrs. D what's to see? Mrs. D from the MK Breakfast Show was back at MK Theatre last night (26/07) to watch The Play That Goes Wrong and here is her review...

Last night I saw The Play That Goes Wrong, bring “Murder at Haversham Manor” to Milton Keynes Theatre. I knew that this was a comedy, but I didn’t expect to be laughing as much as I did. Usually, I start these reviews saying it started with...but to be honest I don’t know when it started as there seemed to be a lot of commotion after we took our seats which was actually part of the act!

So, Murder at Haversham Manor was a Who Dunnit murder mystery with a very small cast and crew, but that didn’t stop them putting on a great show. It was focused on the murder of Charles Haversham, although he wasn’t very good at playing dead! It was that polished that you didn’t know what was planned to go wrong or if anything really did go wrong. '

It was so funny the audience were laughing throughout. There was also audience participation which I am not sure was part of the show, but it worked really well.

I cannot single out any of the actors last night as they were all amazing characters and absolutely hilarious. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse…it did, worse than you could ever imagine. This play will brighten up your day or week as you will laugh constantly throughout the evening.

The Play That Goes Wrong will be at Milton Keynes Theatre until Saturday 30th July. If you do get along to watch this great play, please look out for Winston - I don’t think they have found him yet!
