Milton Keynes salon owner re-brands with hopes of encouraging women with low mental health to invest in beauty

Milton Keynes Beauty Salon owner re-brands in the hope to encourage women with low mental health to invest in self-care and beauty therapy.

The HideOut Hair & Beauty, formerly known as Tanning Salon MK, recently celebrated their fifth birthday and the friendly, feel-good salon re-branded to emphasise their hidden and private salon, tucked away from the everyday chaos.

“I always dreamt of the day I could have a salon on a high street, but over the years my clients have said they prefer having private 1 to 1 treatments, where they can talk freely without judgement. The fact we have free parking directly outside is also a plus!” said Gemma Samuel, owner of The HideOut Hair and Beauty.

The HideOut, located at 35 Fenny Stratford Industrial Estate, offers a variety of services from; hair colouring, cutting, treatments and all methods of hair extensions. Microneedling, Dermaplaning, HydraFacials, relaxing facials, aromatherapy massages, eyelash enhancements, Brow shaping and tinting, laser cosmetic teeth whitening, spray tanning and UV sunbeds.

Gemma further explained “Recently, we have noticed an influx of clients with anxiety and other mental health related matters, and in my opinion, beauty therapy and self-care give our clients a boost of confidence where they feel uplifted. Creating a salon environment where everyone feels comfortable to visit is important to us, and what better way than in a private ‘hidden’ salon.”

To further support clients with low mental health, Gemma is also in the process of studying a life coaching and counselling diploma.

“My mission is to make women feel a million dollars and help guide them. Most often clients just want to feel heard and supported and I’m super proud that our team provide the space and deliver the creative work to achieve that”.
