Milton Keynes residents invited to online comedy night

Return Of The Craic Comedy Club takes place every Friday night over Zoom, with profits going to charity.

Hosted by Irish comedian Jarlath Regan, who lives in St Albans, the show brings together some of the funniest comedians and performers on the UK circuit.

On last weeks show the bill featured Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo star Jo Caufield, as well as 'Bamous' comedian Dane Baptiste as a mystery guest.

Rebecca Montwill, co-founder of the online gigs, explained how it came about.

"The show was conceived by Jarlath and myself and started as a collaboration with St Albans Pub Dylans at the Plough to bring back some laughs in an outdoor, safe and socially distanced manner after the first lockdown.

It was a weekly sell out and we managed to get some great acts out to perform for us like Romesh Ranganathan, Iain Sterling, Ed Byrne, Laura Alex and lots more.

"We did one online event during the second lockdown and it was really well received, but we have our work cut out convincing people who haven't tried it before that online comedy works.

"We always have a stellar lineup of TV stars crammed into our live and spontaneous shows for you to enjoy from the comfort of your couch at the same time as your friends. Get a gang together and make a night of it and have it all streamed live to your phone, laptop, smart tv or tablet - night sorted."
