Milton Keynes-based removal company sees more people moving house than ever before

Local company Top Class Removals has said they are seeing more people move house than ever before.

They potentially put this down to the current stamp duty holiday, introduced by the Government earlier this year, which means 90% of buyers will save up to £15,000 in tax until 31 March 2021.

It was reported in July, that following the news of stamp duty cuts, Milton Keynes saw the biggest increase in buyer enquiries in the country - up 136%.

Rightmove reported that nationwide, the biggest jump in buyer enquiries was for homes that sit just under the threshold, with there being a 49% increase in demand for homes priced between £400,000 and £500,000.

This surge in demand for local properties has meant that Top Class Removals has been as its busiest in the five years of operating.

"We have seen a major increase in people wanting us to help with their move," said John from Top Class Removals. "We're now doing jobs mainly in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas due to the surge in demand, but we also do national and international moves."

Top Class Removals has five removal vans and has recently expanded the business to also clean properties if necessary. The team now covers packing, dismantling, assembly, storage, and cleaning.

John continued: "We have invested in high-quality cleaning kit so we now offer the full package. This is all to help take the stress off of residents who are moving, because I know first-hand how stressful the whole experience can be. We want to make the move that little bit easier by knowing that everything is in good hands.

"Things can change so rapidly too, so if something comes up where you need to postpone the move then we can do that for free so long as we have 24 hours’ notice. We will do what we can to make your move as smooth as possible."
