McDonalds announce big change at all restaurants from 11pm tonight

McDonalds have announced that they will stop offering walk in take-away services from 11pm tonight following the lockdown announcement.

The company says its UK restaurants will stay open for Drive Thru and McDelivery services only.

'Click and Serve' through the MyMcDonalds app will be available at Drive-Thru restaurants.

McDonalds say that walk-in take-away will be closed temporarily "while we review and verify any additional enhanced safety measures for these services".

Dine In services will also be unavailable.

In a statement, the company said: "With smaller teams and social distancing in the kitchen it will take longer to serve you."

"Our restaurant teams are working incredibly hard in difficult circumstances, your kindness and patience is greatly appreciated."

"We will continue to keep you updated on any changes through our website and social media channels."
