Chocolate orange doughnuts are being sold in two Milton Keynes supermarkets

A local supermarket chain has added chocolate orange doughnuts to its in-store bakery range.

Morrisons supermarkets in Milton Keynes launched the new range on Wednesday (17/3), which sees staff bake the doughnuts from scratch in-store every day.

They are being sold for 50p a pack, working out at 10p per doughnut.

This comes as a chocolate orange craze has taken the nation by storm in recent months, with Terry's also launching a chocolate orange bar.

A photo of the new doughnuts posted by @newfoodsuk amassed over 7,500 likes and 1,000 comments in less than 24 hours with fans commenting, “NEED, NEED, NEED'' and “I’m in heaven”.

Andy Clarke, In-store Bakery Manager at Morrisons, said: “We’re always looking to add new and exciting flavours to our bakery range. We know that our customers love the chocolate orange trend so it made sense to combine it with our renowned doughnuts."
