Bletchley Park Trust Board welcomes two new Trustees

Jane Bleach, experienced Chartered Accountant and business consultant, and Hywel Mathias, global hospitality and leisure operator, have been appointed to the Board of Trustees at Bletchley Park.

They join the Board at an exciting time, as the Trust is about to deliver the next phase of its Masterplan, creating new exhibition spaces, a Collection centre and a learning facility in three buildings located in the heart of the Bletchley Park wartime site. These works will be transformational, building capacity to welcome over 300,000 visitors and over 50,000 students annually as well as cementing Bletchley Park’s reputation as a premier heritage site.

Jane Bleach said: “I am absolutely inspired by the history of Bletchley Park and fascinated by its part in shaping today’s digital age. I am excited at the prospect of bringing my enthusiasm and experience to the Board and contributing to achieving the Trust’s vision – that Bletchley Park will be recognised worldwide not just for its role in World War Two but also for the continuing relevance of its historical achievements today.”

Hywel Mathias said: “It’s with great pleasure and enthusiasm I am joining the Bletchley Park Board of Trustees. The importance Bletchley Park played in shaping the world we live in today, and that of generations to come is profound, and I look forward to playing a part in ensuring Bletchley Park is able to tell its story for years to come.”

Sir David Brown, Chair of the Trustees of the Bletchley Park Trust, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jane and Hywel as Trustees. I look forward to working with them over the coming years as we continue Bletchley Park Trust’s mission to attract, engage and educate people from all over the world in order to inspire them with Bletchley Park’s crucial role in World War Two.”

The Trust’s vision is that Bletchley Park will be recognised and acknowledged worldwide for the achievements that took place here in World War Two, and how and why these remain relevant today.
